立体の切断は、中学入試算数における頻出・重要分野です。大問として出題されることが多く、切断面を正確に作図できないと、大問を全て落としてしまうケースも少なくありません。正確に断面図をイメージし、描けることが、問題に取り組むための大前提となるのです。
