Vidwell: Video Downloader

Vidwell — Video Downloader with an HD Player and an Offline Library

Vidwell is a video downloader and a media player working from the same screen. Locate a clip with the browser inside the app, save it to your phone, and it settles into a library that plays back with or without a network. Nothing about the flow asks you to leave for a second app.

⬇️ SAVE VIDEO TO YOUR PHONE
Video comes down at the resolution the page makes available. Vidwell stores MP4 and the other supported formats as they arrive, with no conversion step between saving a clip and watching it.

🔍 FIND VIDEOS IN THE APP BROWSER
The browser lives inside Vidwell, so searching and saving happen in the same place. A supported video on the open page is picked out automatically, and the save control appears next to it.

🧵 SEVERAL FILES AT ONCE
Queue up more than one clip and let them run together. Vidwell manages the list for you instead of making you wait for one file before starting the next.

🔔 BACKGROUND SAVING
Send the app away or shut it entirely and the queue survives. Each completed video raises a notification, and opening that notification drops you on the file itself.

📺 HD PLAYBACK BUILT IN
The bundled HD player opens saved clips on the spot and holds a steady picture across the video formats people actually use. No second player needs to be installed for a file to open.

🎚 PLAYBACK CONTROLS
Tap the progress bar to land on a moment, drag along it to scrub, or skip ten seconds at a time. Playback speed, repeat and shuffle sit in the same bar, and the player turns with the phone to fill the screen.

📚 EVERYTHING IN ONE LIBRARY
Saved video gathers into a single list you can order by date, and folders keep a big collection from turning into a scroll. One tap opens any file in the player.

🛫 WATCH WITHOUT DATA
Once a clip is on the device it plays with the radio off. Tunnels, planes and weak coverage make no difference to a library that already lives in local storage.

🔐 PRIVACY
Vidwell requires no registration and no sign-in. Saved video remains in your own device storage and is never sent anywhere by the app.

🧊 SMALL FOOTPRINT
A modest install size and an uncluttered interface let Vidwell launch quickly and behave well on hardware that is a few years old.

⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTE
Please use Vidwell responsibly and save only material you own or have permission to keep. Vidwell is an independent app and has no affiliation with, endorsement from or connection to any third-party platform or social network. Saving copyrighted material without permission may break the law where you live. Downloading from YouTube is not supported, in line with Google Play policies. Some manufacturers curb background activity to save battery — if a download stops after the screen turns off, allow Vidwell to run in the background from your device settings.
