Your photos, videos and everyday memories, together with a Home experience that keeps Gallery within reach. Gallery - Photo, Video & Home helps you explore the media already on your Android device, revisit favourite moments and organise your library.

EXPLORE YOUR PHOTO AND VIDEO LIBRARY
Browse your media in a visual timeline, open albums and switch between all items, photos, videos and favourites. Search your library, open a photo or video, inspect its details and share selected media through compatible apps on your device. Keep favourites close and review items in Trash, with restoration where supported by your Android version.

REDISCOVER MEMORIES
Visit For you to explore highlights, stories and collections built from your own library. Revisit dates and trips, browse selected moments and adjust memory preferences. Add photos or videos to a story, change its title and choose optional music. Removing an item from memories does not delete its original file.

OPTIONAL PEOPLE AND FACE GROUPING
Turn on face grouping to find similar faces in your photos. Name people, combine groups and explore shared moments. Face analysis and face-group information stay on your device. A face model downloads when first needed, and scans run in small batches. Use More faces to discover additional groups or delete local face data without deleting your original photos. Recognition depends on image quality and device support; results may need your correction.

PLACES FROM YOUR PHOTO METADATA
Discover places and trips using location information already stored inside your photos. Allow photo-location access and scan geotagged images to build location-based collections. The app does not track your live GPS location. Android's geocoding service may process photo coordinates to find city and country names. Photos without usable location metadata will not appear in place-based results.

EDIT PHOTOS AND PLAY VIDEOS
Enhance a photo, rotate or flip it, and try monochrome, warm or cool looks. Undo a change or reset your edits, then save an edited copy. Open videos with playback, seeking and mute controls. Media playback depends on the formats supported by your device.

MAKE SOMETHING FROM YOUR MEMORIES
Create a collage with 2–6 photos, arrange two images in a before-and-after layout or turn 2–18 photos into an animated GIF. Play selected media as a full-screen slideshow with optional music, render selected photos into a highlight video or use a selected portrait as your wallpaper. Review and share the creations you choose to save.

GALLERY AT HOME
The app also includes an Android Home launcher. Choose it as your default Home app to use its home screen, app drawer and widget support, with a swipe shortcut into Gallery. Personalise Home and app-drawer settings and open your installed apps. Home features use Android's default-app selection; you can change your default launcher in device settings. Google search shortcuts open a supported search app or browser.

PERMISSIONS, PRIVACY AND AVAILABILITY
Photo and video access is needed to display and manage your media library. Optional photo-location access supports place and trip collections; face grouping has a separate opt-in. Your library is not a cloud-backup service, and Gallery does not require an app account. Sharing sends only the media you choose through the destination app you select.

The app includes advertising and analytics. Ad availability varies with consent, install attribution and configuration. An internet connection is used for ads, analytics, configuration and the initial face-model download; local media browsing can work offline after access is granted. Optional processing features depend on device support and the contents of your library.
