Decision Matrix Planner turns a hard choice into a clear one.
Instead of going around in circles or trusting a gut feeling you cannot explain, you lay the decision out: the options you are weighing, the criteria that matter, and how much each of those criteria is actually worth to you. The app handles the arithmetic and shows you which option comes out ahead, by how much, and why.
Everything runs on your device. There is no account to create and no connection required.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Name the decision and list the options you are considering.
2. Add the criteria that matter and give each one a weight from 1 to 10.
3. Score every option against every criterion.
4. Read the ranking, and the reasoning behind it.
WEIGHTED SCORING THAT MAKES SENSE
Give each criterion an importance from 1 to 10. Weights are normalized for you, so they never have to add up to 100. Change a single weight and the whole ranking recalculates immediately.
RESULTS YOU CAN DEFEND
Every option gets a normalized score out of 100 and a rank. You also see the margin between the top two, whether that lead is comfortable or too close to call, and a criterion-by-criterion comparison of the leader against the runner-up.
THE REASONING, NOT JUST THE ANSWER
Expand any option to see how much each criterion contributed to its total, along with its strongest and weakest factor. When the outcome depends on one pivotal criterion, the app points it out, so you know exactly where the decision is fragile.
A FOCUSED SCORING FLOW
Score one criterion at a time across all your options, so you are always comparing like with like. A matrix overview shows the entire grid whenever you want the wider picture, and the app remembers how far you got so you can stop and come back later.
TEMPLATES TO START FROM
Six starting points for common decisions: comparing business ideas, choosing software, prioritizing projects, comparing suppliers, evaluating job offers, and general personal decisions. Every criterion and weight stays fully editable.
BUILT FOR REAL USE
Search and sort your saved decisions, archive the ones you have settled, and duplicate a decision to explore a variation without losing the original. Export a summary or a CSV file through the Android share sheet whenever you want to share your reasoning with someone else.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Decision Matrix Planner collects nothing. There is no account system, no advertising, no analytics, and no cloud sync. Your decisions, options, criteria, and scores live in a local database on your device and nowhere else.
The app does not request the Android internet permission, which means it is not able to send your information anywhere even if it wanted to. It behaves exactly the same in airplane mode. Deleting a decision in the app, clearing app storage, or uninstalling removes your data permanently, and no copy exists anywhere for us to hold.
WHAT PEOPLE USE IT FOR
Choosing software or a vendor. Comparing job offers. Prioritizing a roadmap. Selecting a supplier. Weighing up a move, a car, a course, or any decision where several things matter at once and they do not all matter equally.
Decision Matrix Planner provides structured calculations for informational purposes. Results reflect the criteria, weights, and scores you enter, and are not professional advice.
