ClimaShell relates Köppen–Geiger climate classes to building envelope heat-flow targets using ASHRAE Handbook methods.
Choose a city from a local list of more than 3,000 places, or enter four climate values: mean annual air temperature, annual temperature range, relative humidity, and solar radiation. ClimaShell then reports:
• A solar heat gain coefficient (SHGC) range
• Heating and cooling degree-day estimates (18 °C base)
• A thermal inertia index and a dew-point / interior-surface condensation check
• Wall and roof layer notes matched to the climate class
• A climate-match score against typical values for the classified Köppen type
Thirty-one Köppen–Geiger subclasses are included, from tropical rainforest (Af) and tropical savanna (Aw) through Mediterranean (Csa), oceanic (Cfb), humid continental (Dfb), subarctic (Dfc), and tundra (ET).
Drawings on the device show a climate-parameter match chart, a wall-section diagram, and U-value / SHGC gauges. All city records and calculations remain on the device.
