Can’t find your phone at home? Turn on clap detection, then clap nearby to help locate it with your chosen alert.
Clap to Find Phone Launcher is a home screen launcher with a built-in clap-to-find feature. When clap detection is enabled, the app can respond to a clap with a ringtone, vibration, or flashlight alert. Adjust the detection sensitivity for your environment, and turn the feature off anytime you don’t need it.
You can also set Clap to Find Phone Launcher as your default Home app. To switch back to your previous launcher, open Android Settings, go to Apps or Default Apps, select Home app, and choose another available launcher. You don’t need to uninstall the app to change your default home screen.
The app also includes a launcher home screen with app shortcuts, search, and date and time for convenient everyday access.
How to use
1. Open the app and choose your preferred sound and alert settings.
2. Allow microphone access for clap detection.
3. Tap Start Listening.
4. Clap within your phone’s hearing range, then follow the alert to find it.
Permissions and usage
Microphone permission is required to detect claps. Camera permission may be required for flashlight alerts, and notification permission may be required to show the listening-service notification.
Clap detection is designed to help you find a nearby phone within hearing range. Performance and background operation may be affected by ambient noise, phone placement, sensitivity settings, and system battery restrictions.
